The following poem was coauthored by the women in Women, Writing, and Imagination: Curriculum as Aesthetic Text, a summer 2002 course offered by Rishma Dunlop through the Centre for the Study of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of British Columbia. Each woman was invited to create her own poem in response to the prompt “somewhere a woman is writing a poem” adapted from an Adrienne Rich essay. These poems became a journey into collaboration where we explored writing, editing, and publishing together. These are the words that emerged.
