hi, antoinette.

In answer to your query, the course was about autobiographical writing and in particular, women's autobiographical writing, in/as re-search, with my book as the course "text" (or rather, should i say, intertext) and because it was a graduate course, it included women who are working on MA's and PHD's, so they very much considered their writing in terms of their own re-search. we focussed on the writing and the re-writing of autobiographical episodes (among other activities--we also read women's autobiographical writings) as a way to view writing as re-search, re-search as writing, and the lines are very much blurred. but we also very much emphasized narrative and poetic ways of writing selves and gave ourselves the freedom to explore there. there are probably so many connections to what you and teresa have been sharing, it would take tears to articulate all of it.

regards, renee.
