I play, as (a)
Way
(Of) reminding myself
Not to take (my) writing
Too seriously, as
Though it were something
Authentic – instead
It is partial – but I
Can still laugh –
How laughter can
(caned, canned laughter cannot)
Rupture a seemingly
Seamless dignity,
Crumble pride,
Heal a lamentation.
