Hey there! Sorry I didn’t see you before I left. I’m at the airport, only hours away from the plunge into my three month research project (I think I turned the stove off). Ten hours from now I’ll be having a pint in Covent Garden! Five weeks in London, then six weeks in Sweden! Poor kids (and teachers). I’ll be bombarding them with questionnaires, surveys, videotaped interviews (ooops! I’ve got to read the manual for my camera on the plane). We need to find out if YMP works in classrooms overseas and how it works. I have to test the curriculum material we’ve designed for teachers to use. I think I’m a bit mad to believe that global ed can help us all to feel more like world citizens, but I’m going to try. I want to see if it will make any difference for the kids. My thesis title is “Global Eyes.” Whaddya think? Catchy, innit! Wish me luck. Take good care of yourself.
