Jing Yang is a senior student at
the School of Journalism. She both likes and hates the term “senior
student,” as it is the only time she has ever been labeled “senior” and
she feels very uneasy about the sense of maturity that comes along
with it. Ever since she traveled thousands of miles away from her
sweet home and lovely friends in China almost a year and half ago,
she’s been trying to figure out what she’s doing here
in Vancouver, and she’s still trying. She likes writing,
but never likes what she has written. She likes to investigate,
but never likes being an investigative journalist. The only harmony
she experiences is her deep interest in watching and talking about
entertainment news. Her latest dream is to become an anchor for
Cultural Express, an entertainment-news-based TV program on China
Central Television Station Channel 9.
