Jenny Arntzen is a Vancouver based artist, educator and researcher.
She is currently writing her Masters thesis in Art Education on
the topic of art practice: an autophenomenological inquiry. Her
studio practice is focused on conceptual and process practices
for portraiture. As an educator, Jenny teaches approaches to artmaking
as lived experiences of creativity, self disclosure and mastery.
She is very interested in the acquisition of critical visual language
in terms of literacy and multi modal learning. Jenny's research
interests are the theoretical underpinnings of the meanings of
art, artmaking and artist through cultural studies, critical art
history, and pedagogical practices in art education.
