Alnoor Gova is a doctoral student whose current research interest articulates how compulsory education in Canada has always been used as a mechanism for the production of complicit citizenry which serves to dissolve democracy in practice.

Currently Alnoor is conducting a funded qualitative study through UBC and the MARU Society on the impact of Racial Profiling within Muslim communities in the Lower Mainland. The results of the study are projected to be available in the summer of 2007.

Alnoor's poetic-counter-narratives, commentaries, and research are often heard and discussed on Vancouver Coop-Radio 102.7FM on Mondays between 5-7pm.
