Ardra Cole is Professor and Co-director
of the Centre for Arts-informed Research in the Department
of Adult Education and Counselling Psychology at the Ontario
Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto,
Canada. Her teaching, research, and writing are in the areas
of teacher education, qualitative research, particularly life
history and arts-informed methods and caregiving and Alzheimer’s
disease. Her most recent book, edited with Gary Knowles,
is Handbook of the Arts in Qualitative Research, published
